Founded by Jim Wilde and Sam Penninger in 2010, Rufus & Cooper was born out of a desire to create high-end imagery and photographic solutions, individually tailored to suit a vast range of clients and their specific needs, all at the best possible price. 

From humble beginnings spent in hired studio spaces, along with a homemade website to get the ball rolling, Jim and Sam quickly garnered a loyal following thanks to their combined years of industry experience, technical skills and a drive to deliver fantastic pictures and a full suite of services to their clients. 

With an ever-growing team of wonderful staff and an expanding roster of clients in tow, 2012 was the year Rufus & Cooper found its first permanent home. Then, after six successful years in cosy Cremorne it was time for bigger and better things, so the team packed up and relocated to their dream studio space in Hawthorn. Custom-designed and built from the ground up, this brand-new studio is just the beginning of Rufus & Cooper’s next great chapter.
